Basil Mills said, "We appreciate our valued customers' and vendors' patience in the most trying times we've experienced in our fifty years in business. We are continuing to work through the current situation with our vendors and suppliers."
Mills Family Farms was established as Mills Distributing Company by Basil Mills in 1958. From their first day in business, the Mills family displayed commitment to quality product and equitable business practices.
Jim Bogart, President of the Grower Shipper Association stated, "The agriculture industry is under a real crunch with inflation, and increasing costs in pesticides, fertilizers and fuel. It's not very much fun now. The Mills are good operators. They set a good example to a lot of people about what is the right thing to do. I look up to them and respect them."
For over 50 years, Mills Family Farms has strived to grow not only premium produce, but also solid relationships. Much of the company's success was due to the exemplary relationships and spirit of cooperation it enjoyed with its grower partners, which in turn stemmed from Mills Family Farms' ethical business culture and reputation for reliability.
