MONTEREY, Calif. - October 31, 2007- Monterey's newest Mediterranean tapas restaurant, Estéban, is now open for lunch. Receiving rave reviews from locals and visitors alike, Estéban has quickly made a name for its Spanish-inspired cuisine since opening on September 27, 2007. The restaurant's convenient location at the Casa Munras hotel makes it the ideal place to enjoy a lunch hour with friends over delectable dishes and savory treats or socialize after work around the outdoor fire pit with signature cocktails and tantalizing sangria.

For lunch, guests can expect to savor a variety of options. The menu offers mini plates of slow-roasted organic beets, roasted baby potatoes, Spanish anchovies, and freshly shucked oysters to small plates of Dungeness crab cake and lamb chops, in addition to sandwiches and salads. Estéban features locally grown, seasonal ingredients and an array of fresh seafood, grilled meats, and vegetables. In addition to the wide selection of Mediterranean tapas, Estéban's mouthwatering menu offers traditional favorites such as an organic beef burger and Monterey Bay salmon. Complementing the menu is a wine list consisting of premier local and global wines specially selected to harmonize with the flavors of the cuisine.

Featuring an earth tone color palette, wood beams, mosaic tiles and copper and bronze ironwork, Estéban offers a refuge for great conversation and relaxation. The inviting atmosphere and fresh appearance was created by Seattle-based design firm GGLO, with warm textures and rich colors inspired by the Spanish influences and heritage of Don Estéban Munras, the original owner of Casa Munras.

Located at the Casa Munras, A Larkspur Collection Hotel at 700 Munras Avenue in Monterey, Estéban is open seven days a week for lunch (11:30 AM - 5:00 PM), dinner (5:00 PM - 10:00 PM), and cocktails are available after 10:00 PM.
