Domenico's on the Wharf Celebrates 30th Birthday
Brothers Sam and Dominic Mercurio celebrate 30 years of business on Old Fisherman's Wharf
MONTEREY, CALIF. – Domenico's on the Wharf is thrilled to announce it is celebrating its 30th birthday on July 27, 2011 from 11 a.m. to closing. Domenico's will be giving away t-shirts to the first 100 patrons who purchase a lunch or dinner entrée and will be offering food and drink specials all day! Come enjoy a fantastic and fun dining experience with excellent service, delicious food and breathtaking ocean views at Domenico's on the Wharf on Old Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey.
Dominic Mercurio and John Pisto, who came from a family of restaurateurs and fishermen, opened Domenico's on the Wharf on July 27, 1981. At the time, everyone else on the wharf was selling casual fare, while Domenico's brought something special: an upscale dining experience with white tablecloths, tableside Caesar salads, banana fosters and gourmet entrees. Domenico's changed the face of Old Fisherman's Wharf.
A local favorite Domenico's on the Wharf is now run by brothers Dominic and Sam Mercurio and Sam's wife, Angeli. The family's generations of experience catching and preparing the freshest of fish is reflected in the outstanding seafood dishes the Mercurio brothers prepare for their patrons. Each ingredient is of the highest quality.
Offering a refined yet relaxed dining atmosphere with attentive service and views of the Monterey Bay Harbor, Domenico's on the Wharf features sustainable local and Alaskan seafood and handmade pasta made fresh each morning. It has award-winning wine list and a one-of-a-kind menu. The vegetables are organic and fresh, grown on Dominic's ranch nearby, and the fish is local or caught during Sam's fishing trips to Alaska.
