Dmc Construction Incorporated Completes Renovation for Monterey Peninsula Country Club

January 29, 2007

MONTEREY, Calif. – January 29, 2007 – DMC Construction Incorporated (DMC) recently renovated and expanded the prestigious Monterey Peninsula Country Club's (MPCC) clubhouse, and constructed a new three story building to house the men's and ladies' lounge and locker rooms, a gym, commercial kitchen, pro shop, and cart storage, among other amenities.

Utilizing their more than 34 years of experience, DMC embraced MPCC's tradition and charm. This enabled them to deliver a refreshing look, inside and out, that will be recognized and appreciated by members and guests for years to come. DMC president Dan McAweeney commented "We were thrilled to receive this contract, as well the opportunity to provide a valuable service and high quality work product. We recognize that construction is a collaborative effort and appreciate the combined efforts and talents of all those who assisted in the project."

MPCC was originally designed by architect Clarence Tanteau and constructed in 1925 by Samuel F.B. Morse. In the same year, the Dunes Course, designed by Seth Raynor, opened; years later, in 1961, MPCC opened the Shore Course, designed by Bob E. Baldock. Both courses more recently received renovations - the Dunes Course in 1998 by Reese Jones, and the Shore Course was rebuilt in 2004 by Michael Strantz. As a result of a nine-year Facility Master Plan, guided from conception to completion by general manager Michael Bowhay, the remodel and expansion of its clubhouse and member facilities and services area was a priority for MPCC. Warner Group International of Santa Barbara, world renowned architect, created the fresh appearance.

DMC Construction Incorporated is involved with numerous public works projects, office buildings, new large custom home construction, as well as other commercial and industrial projects. Other major projects currently underway include expansion of the Monterey County airport terminal and construction of the new Monterey Salinas Transit Center on Reservation Road in Marina. In 1988, and again in 1989, DMC was ranked as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. Over the years, DMC's corporate clients have included many nationally-recognized firms such as the Pebble Beach Company, 3M, Frito Lay, State Compensation Insurance Fund, Container Corporation of America, the Catholic Diocese, State Farm Insurance, Cantisano Foods and the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
