Campaign to Preserve Mission San Antonio Launches Online Store
KING CITY, CA – The Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua is pleased to announce the launch of a new ecommerce site, www.savesanantonio.org. The Save Mission San Antonio Store showcases over 40 unique gifts and collectables for purchase and was created to raise awareness of the campaign and generate funds for the earthquake retrofit and preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua. All proceeds from the online store go directly to the Campaign.
"We are very excited to have another avenue to raise money for the Campaign," said Susan Gill, Campaign President. "Supporters can now share gifts with friends and help the Mission."
Casey Printing & Marketing Services, based in King City, Calif., donated their time to develop the website. Items available for purchase include Mission San Antonio logoed apparel, unique collectibles, kitchen & dining items, jewelry, books, and music. Many one of a kind items from local jewelry designer Ellen Albertoni's signature collection are available on the site.
Mission San Antonio was established in 1771 by Father Serra in the peaceful and remote San Antonio Valley. California's third mission, Mission San Antonio sits in practically the same setting as it did 240 years ago. A serious undertaking, the retrofit will cost $15 million. The goal for the Campaign is to complete the rehabilitation by 2017. Without proper retrofitting and repairs, Mission San Antonio faces certain closure, a tragic loss for California.
