Barnyard Shopping Village Hosts 18th Annual Art & Wine Festival

Local boutique wineries, flavorful cuisine and unique works of art

CARMEL, Calif. - June 14, 2007 - The Barnyard Shopping Village will host its 18th Annual Art & Wine Festival on Saturday, June 16 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy local entertainment, stroll through the award-winning gardens, explore Barnyard shops, visit with local artisans, and pair delicious wines with the diverse world-class cuisine of the barnyard's restaurants and cafes.

This year's elegant affair is being coordinated by James Kellogg, food and beverage general manager of Tehama, and will feature music by Trusting Lucy, two local women from Pacific Grove who write their own original music, two unique automobiles on display courtesy of Barron Mercedes, a charity silent auction, 20 California premier wineries, and an exhibition of the works of well-known sculptor, Richard MacDonald, which will be showcased throughout the festival.

WHAT: 18th Annual Art & Wine Festival, featuring Barnyard artisans and 20 Monterey County vintners. The flavorful world cuisine of The Barnyard restaurants will pair nicely with the variety of wines.

In addition, a silent auction will be held where participants may bid on items donated by participating wineries, artists, and Barnyard merchants. All silent auction proceeds will benefit Girls, Inc. and The First Tee of Monterey County.
