Ausonio Incorporated Announces New Certified Green Building Professional
Sam Phillips, Project Manager, earns CGBP designation at leading Green Building firm
As project manager, Phillips is responsible for managing all aspects of construction work from bidding to job completion, and is currently consulting for a client in Tehama that is seeking Build It Green certification for their residence. He earned a bachelor's degree in Construction Management in 2004 from Northern Arizona University and has held project manager positions at firms in both California and Arizona. An Ausonio Incorporated employee since 2007, Phillips received training for the Green Building Professional certification through coursework sponsored by the City of Monterey.

Build It Green is a professional non-profit membership organization whose mission is to promote healthy, energy and resource-efficient buildings in California. The program offers a checklist and criteria for certifying residential buildings to a nationally recognized Green standard. To qualify for certification, participants must pass an exam after completing coursework in the principles of Green Building and the systems approach to the design, construction and operation of buildings, and complete courses on energy, resource conservation, and indoor air quality.
