Art Exhibit Showcases Local High School Students
Students Selected from among Young Artists across Monterey County

MONTEREY, Calif. - March 6, 2009-Three local Santa Catalina students have been selected to display their art at Carl Cherry Center for the Art's exhibit entitled Thinking Out Loud. The exhibit will feature students Catherine Armanasco from Pebble Beach and Lottie Dowson and Malwina Maslowska from Monterey who have been selected along with other high school students throughout Monterey County. The exhibit will include varying types of media, including photography, sculpture and painting and "demonstrates to the community the vitality of art in Monterey County High Schools", according to the Carl Cherry Center.

The opening reception for the Santa Catalina Students will take place Saturday, March 7th from 3:00pm until 5:00pm, and their artwork will continue to be displayed at the Center for the Arts until March 27th. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
