Greenfield announces new police chief
The City of Greenfield has announced its next chief of police.
Gregory Allen, a commander and acting chief with the Greenfield Police Department from 2015-2017 will rejoin the department in September.
Allen will be in charge of 22 sworn officers and seven civilian employees.

The City of Greenfield is located in the heart of the Salinas Valley, formed by the Gabilan Mountains to the east and the Santa Lucia Mountains to the west. Due to its close proximity to California’s Central Coast, the region boasts rich soil and a desirable year-round climate, ideal for agricultural and wineries.
