Twenty-One Stevenson School Students Presented With Bank of America Acheivement Award

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif.--This week, a group of Stevenson seniors were recognized for academic excellence in a host of subject areas when they were presented with the Bank of America Achievement Award in their discipline. Each year the awards program recognizes outstanding scholars from the senior classes of approximately 1,200 private and public high schools throughout California. Several weeks ago, Stevenson faculty from each department nominated seniors for consideration, and a committee of department heads made the final selections.

The honorees in each individual discipline, who will receive a certificate in April from Bank of America, are: Art: Knowl Baek, Sean Tang; Drama: Paul Del Piero; Music: Deanna Chan, Arthur Lam; English: Sara Ittelson, Katie Kohn, Cindy Wu; Foreign Language: Ade Omodele-Lucien, Tracy Wong; History: Yoshi Arakaki, Grant Holz; Math: Charles Liu, Olivia Yu; Science: Jason Steinberg, Nikko Arger; Computer Studies: Charmaine Li; and Economics: Ross Garren.

In addition, three students were selected for outstanding records of performance in broader study areas, each will receiving an engraved plaque in April and are eligible to compete for scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000. Recipients are: Fine Arts: Roarke Satava; Liberal Arts: Shannon Garber; and Science/Math: Michael Silberman.
