Solar School, Catalina has History of Going Green

The Monterey County Herald Reporter wrote a front page story highlighting the Scudder Solar Energy Systems project at Santa Catalina School and included a color photo of the solar panels installed on the Bedford Family Gymnasium. Those in attendance at the announcement at the press conference included Head of School Sister Claire Barone, Scudder Solar Energy Systems’ team, Assemblyman Bill Monning, Mayor Chuck Della Sala, Supervisor Dave Potter and representatives from SunPower Corporation and Technology Credit Corporation. A letter from Congressman Sam Farr congratulating Santa Catalina School for their initiative to incorporate the use of alternative energy was also presented. This same story also appeared in the Santa Cruz Sentinel, DailyBulletin.com and The Imagination Coast News Service, which highlights the sustainable economy on the Central Coast of California.
